She recently finished writing Small is Beautiful in the 21st Century, which traces Schumacher’s legacy through the activities and outreach of pioneers who, over the years, have been working on practical solutions to our interrelated global crises.

It describes how several flourishing organisations, some large and some small, have remained closely linked with his ideas and work, and have since become associated as the Schumacher Circle. It should be available some time this month.

The Schumacher Centenary Festival, Time For a New Direction, is to be held on Saturday 8th – Sunday 9th October, Bristol. A weekend celebrating the life and vision of E.F. Schumacher, author of Small is Beautiful and A Guide for the Perplexed and pioneer of green economics.

Details of the speakers and venue can be seen on the website of Schumacher UK.
